Sons of Asgard : Behind the Characters

Who is Raif Larson?

Raif is one of the main protagonist from the fictional Dark Age series called "The Sons of Asgard" The Danish warrior works with his kinsmen to keep the trade routes and homesteads of the local Jarl safe. The warrior soon learns that his kinship with Magnus is closer than he believed, and that both share a lineage that includes the gods of Asgard.

Raif is the quieter and more pensive member of the party, whereas his kinsmen Magnus is his opposite. Magnus would rather strike down a perceived villain first and think on his actions at leisure with a good helping of mead. As a tactician Raif is unsurpassed and his knowledge of the local area is without fault.

We learn that Raif has little time for finding his one true love and the events of his past have made him become a driven and tempered warrior. Despite his adherence to the old ways, he is not adverse to embracing fresh idea's and giving non-believers his ear. His friendship and bond with the deeply Christian Monk is build on a mutual level of trust and understanding. It is through Raif's constant diplomacy that peace is kept between the conservative minded Monk and the more barbaric Magnus.
